Job Description

Sinclair, Inc. seeks a motivated and experienced Cloud Engineer to join the Corporate Information Technology Department. The individual will develop, integrate, and support key Enterprise infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities:
• Be part of a team that supports programs to design, develop, and manage day to day operations of cloud infrastructure across the enterprise.
• Collaborate with other internal teams and third-party vendors to help define and then maintain best-in-class solutions.
• Proactively monitor KPIs and address areas of improvement for public, private, and hybrid cloud solutions.
• Configuration, management, and maintenance of cloud-based solutions across public, private, and hybrid clouds.
• Develop and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery processes.
• Ensure cloud security measures are incorporated into infrastructure implementation.
• Support and participate in the development of day to day operational support processes for enterprise-wide systems.
• Drive efficiencies through process automation and Infrastructure as Code frameworks
• Work with and support all other Cloud Engineering, SysOps, NetOps and NOC team members.

Experience, Skills & Competencies:
• 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering and operations.
• 5+ years of experience directly building, administering, and supporting cloud solutions including compute, networking, load balancers, storage, identity management, and security.
• 5+ years of experience with scripting and IT process automation – shell scripting, Ansible, Terraform, Go, JSON, Jenkins, etc.
• Experience with Python development.
• 3+ years of Linux and Windows systems administration in an enterprise level environment.
• Experience in the architecture, engineering, and operation of containerization and virtualization technologies.
• Understanding of industry best practices surrounding proper maintenance and support of a 24x7 cloud infrastructure – service and server hardening, tuning, vulnerability management, and patch management.
• Demonstrable implementation of infrastructure lifecycles including planning, forecasting, implementation, and tracking of projects/assets deployment.
• Experience supporting and managing private, public, and hybrid cloud solutions.
• Experience working within an Agile/SAFe framework.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
• Strong presentation skills with deep experience in data usage in dash-boarding platforms.
• Advanced understanding and experience with monitoring tools.
• Advanced experience developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Ability to quickly grasp technical issues and offer solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Customer-focused attitude and desire to interface directly with end-user clients.
• Relevant AWS Certifications required – Solutions Architect Associate, and SysOps Engineer.
• Additional AWS Certifications desired – Security Specialty, Advanced Networking Specialty
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Immediate authorization to work in the US.
