Accounts Receivable Analyst

Job Description

Sinclair Broadcast Group's Corporate Accounting department is seeking an Accounts Receivable Analyst to join a growing company and team responsible for affiliate and retransmission revenue accounting and reporting. This role will be part of a new group being created to manage the accounts receivable function for the recently acquired group of Regional Sports Networks. The ideal candidate will be proficient with accounting systems, cash postings and collections.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Apply customer payments to accounts accurately and efficiently
• Analyze applied payments and process invoice adjustments as necessary
• Research and resolve account discrepancies
• Establish strong working relationships and maintain effective communication with all customers within your purview
• Assist with special projects and analysis as assigned
• Maintain accurate digital files of customer payments and remittance
• Assist the Accounts Receivable Supervisor with auditor requests during quarterly reviews and the annual audit
• Identify and implement improvements to systems and processes
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and contracts
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
• BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field preferred but not required
• 2+ years' experience in Accounts Receivable (required)
• Ability to input, manage, and reconcile high volumes of information
• Experience working in financial systems software
• Experience in new software implementation and learning new processes a plus
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Intermediate Excel skills a plus
• Excellent attention to detail and organized
• Ability to work independently as well as on a team
• Working knowledge of the Broadcast/Pay TV Industry a plus
