Simon & Schuster's flagship imprint is seeking a qualified editor to lead our fiction program. The ideal candidate should have experience acquiring and editing a broad range of fiction – from literary to commercial – with an interest in works that tackle topical issues, give voice to emerging ideas in the culture, and complement Simon & Schuster's strength as a leading publisher of nonfiction.

The editorial director will report to the publisher and work with colleagues to cultivate and direct the publication of approximately 30 titles per year. We're looking for someone who will articulate a compelling vision for bringing new authors to our list, particularly those who add diversity and distinction to our publishing program.

Experience in book publishing is required.
