DESCRIPTION:
Simon & Schuster is seeking a Senior Book Cover Designer who will create about 30-40 original cover designs per year and bring an advanced level of skill set necessary to creating original and interesting designs for the S&S, Scribner and Avid Reader imprints.
The Senior Designer will be responsible for designing the full jacket and prepping the mechanical for production. Candidates should have an understanding of the market place, versatile usage of photography and illustration, advance usage of typography and fonts, mature color sensibility, flexible and explorative design sensibility. The senior designer is able to work on their own and/or in collaboration with the art director.
QUALIFICATIONS:
3-5 years of book design experience is preferred.
