The National Account Manager position is responsible for our wholly owned Children's list and Andrews McMeel kids for Ingram and Baker & Taylor. This position may require travel to Ingram in Nashville, TN 1-3 times a year and travel as needed to Bridgewater, NJ. In this position, the National Account Manager is required to sell in all titles and keep estimates updated in our system. They must analyze sales weekly and manage efficiencies in an effort to keep returns to a minimum. The account manager must provide regular feedback on sales through written updates, sales call preparation and post-call follow-up meetings with their manager and with publishing. The account manager must create and maintain strong relationships with the buying, marketing and collection development staff at both Ingram and Baker & Taylor. They must conduct regular backlist reviews.

Qualifications:
* 3-5 years of prior sales experience within the publishing industry is required.
* Exceptional interpersonal skills needed with the ability to effectively communicate with varied personalities at the account as well as all levels of management
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage many projects simultaneously while attending to details and deadlines
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint, knowledge of Edelweiss preferred
* Forward thinking, energetic, problem solver with focused relationship building skills.
* Passionate, dedicated reader.
