The position entails providing assistance to the Executive Art Director and other design staff as they build their knowledge and skills. Depending on previous experience, responsibilities also include designing up to 35 unique books per year in multiple formats, including novelty and board books, early readers, chapter books, and picture books. This involves collaboration with editors, licensors, and other designers on projects, conceptualizing cover ideas, commissioning art, and executing their ideas into the final cover and interior of each book, as well as working with our Production team through proofing process and color correction, to finished book.

Proficiency in Adobe suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator in particular). Good communication skills, and an eagerness to learn. Entry level or up to 5 years relevant experience.
