Financial Controller – Finance (Maternity Cover)

Job Profile:

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Financial Controller is as a critical part of the S&S UK Finance team, overseeing the financial reporting and control team, and responsible for completion of monthly financial reporting and ongoing balance sheet reconciliations.

The Role:

You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the finance team, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Royalties. You will ensure efficiency of financial processes, completeness and accuracy of financial records and timeliness of reporting submissions. You will be a key contact for within the Finance team for all accounting areas for colleagues at S&S Inc., S&S India and S&S Australia concerning financial reporting and intercompany transactions. You will also support the Chief Financial Officer with sufficient analysis of monthly results and in review, design and implementation of improvements to processes and controls.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate will be ACA qualified with at least 5 years' post-qualification experience working within a Finance team in industry. Previous experience as a Financial Controller is highly desirable. You will have exceptional managerial, organisational and communication skills together with solid knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Dynamics Navision accounting software (or similar accounting packages), including purchases and sales ledgers and cashbooks and in IBM's TM1 (desired but not essential).

You will be a proactive team player, self-motivated and able to manage several ongoing projects on top of business as usual. You will demonstrate strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills as well as have good analytical skills and the ability to use judgement.
