We are seeking freelance copy editors and proofreaders for all Simon & Schuster Children's Division imprints, for work on chapter books, graphic novels, middle-grade, and young adult, both fiction and nonfiction.

Applicants must meet the following requirements:
• Excellent copyediting and/or proofreading skills; freelance experience in book publishing a plus
• Knowledge of Chicago Manual of Style
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word (for copyediting)
• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat (for proofreading)
• Ability to adhere to deadlines
• Interest in children's books
