Devops Engineer

Job Description

Paramount is seeking a DevOps Engineer to assist in maintaining and improving the quality of Showtime's streaming services. As a DevOps Engineer on the Showtime Product team, located in our New York City's headquarters, you will be responsible for implementing, scaling and supporting the cloud infrastructure for SHOWTIME, our standalone streaming service, and Showtime Anytime, our TV Everywhere service. In this role, you will be tasked with advancing our core application infrastructure. You will work across teams to support our existing cloud implementation as well as to enforce, maintain and improve security, infrastructure and DevOps best practices, particularly regarding our use of AWS, IaC and K8s.

-Manage infrastructure programmatically using IaC tools
-Improve and automate processes
-Participate in our on-call rotation
-Write, update, and use documentation, including runbooks/playbooks
-Suggest and implement best practices and architecture improvements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on AWS experience
- Experience with automation and configuration management (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
- Experience with logging/monitoring (CloudWatch, DataDog, LogStash, Kibana)
- Experience with continuous deployment / continuous delivery (Jenkins, Bamboo)
- Experience with container orchestration systems (ECS or Kubernetes)
- Background in Unix/ Linux administration on highly available distributed systems
- Creative, self-motivated, a quick study, and willing to develop new skills while constantly improving existing abilities
