We have an exciting Social Media Manager position open in our Los Angeles office.

The Social Media Manager is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the look, feel and branding of the @Shondaland social media handle as well as those associated with Shondaland's original content. This person will work closely with internal stake holders as well as our broadcast and streaming partners, curating a social cadence that represents the pioneering storytelling of Shondaland. This role requires a forward-thinking and intuitive individual who has their finger on the pulse of emerging popular culture and digital technologies.

This position is in Los Angeles, CA and reports to the VP of Communications and Marketing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Will provide social media management through writing and publishing regular, engaging content, compelling social campaigns, posts, and other content across all platforms while managing social media platform relationships.
• Design and implement social media strategy to support current and upcoming Shondaland productions.
• Provide engaging imagery/photography for social media that can include current episodic and archival photography, video assets, video, and art & illustrations.
• Collaborate with Shondaland social media and marketing teams to maintain oversight of social media handles and create synergy between events, communications, and plans.
• Maintain oversight of social media plans for Shondaland original content, co-creating content for promotion; and working with media partners aligning content with brand.
• Point of contact and maintain oversight of all Shondaland show level accounts with talent, cast, and crew. Oversight includes, but not limited to, approving photos and concepts, creating new accounts, inform cast and crew of social media expectations, and facilitate weekly live tweeting.
• Other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Shondaland brand and mission.
• Ability to prioritize and to move between duties with ease; with advance level experience proposing realistic plans of action.
• Highly organized, with an ability to create and implement systems of organization to keep on track in meeting deadlines and goals.
• Demonstrate strong writing and editing skills with a desire to continue to develop and hone these abilities.
• Adept at creating graphics and other visually creative assets for Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Tik Tok and willingness to explore and learn new platforms when needed.
• Capable of maintaining a sense of calm in a fast-paced environment.
• Advance knowledge in the digital and/or editorial sphere, keeping alert to new learning opportunities in the industry.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred or 5 years' experience in an agency position or similar, with work samples provided upon request.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva and/or other Adobe editing programs.
