Podcast Producer

Job Description

Sesame Workshop is seeking a Producer, to launch a season of The Sesame Street Podcast ''Foley & Friends''. Reporting to the Coordinating Producer, the Producer will oversee all elements of the pre-production, production, and post-production for this audio-only Podcast.

Please Note: This is a freelance position for 3 months with a possible longer extension. Candidates should be local.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Create & manage the overall production schedule including writing and post timelines.
• Participate in all brainstorming and writer's meetings
• Supervise all post including recordings, assembly, mixing and delivery of each episode.
• Provide feedback on all script drafts, demos and show assemblies.
• Communicate with the writers, composers, partner, audio engineers, curriculum team, and other internal stakeholders on notes and status of episodes.
• Work with the Coordinator & Production Assistant to ensure Talent is booked for sessions within needed timeframes.
• Assess technical quality of existing songs and segments for inclusion in each episode.
• Direct the talent in recording sessions.
• Ensure editorial and technical quality of each episode.
• Work with the Production Accountant to ensure tracking of invoices and cost reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• 7+ years of Producing experience in television/audio (podcast preferred)
• Knowledge of latest Production and Post Production technologies and workflows
• Understanding of budgets and overall fiscal practices
• Understanding and appreciation of children's media landscape
• Familiar with Final Draft
