Job Description

Sesame Workshop is seeking a Coordinator, Content Research. Reporting to the Vice President, Content Research and Evaluation, the coordinator's work will provide support on both Sesame Workshop's domestic and international research projects, as well as provide administrative and organizational support to the Content Research team.

Responsibilities include:
• Supporting design and coordination of research across global contexts to ensure common understanding of the needs and goals of research work and ensure a high standard of research reports
• Assisting with the development of interview protocols, stimuli, and surveys across both domestic and international projects
• Supporting in the coordination of research projects and assisting in data collection, coding, and analysis
• Summarizing research results for a range of audiences
• Conducting literature reviews and keeping up with latest child development and media effects research
• Managing research vendor contracts, payment of invoices, and communication of timelines for contract expiration
• Maintaining careful records of contracts and invoices while overseeing renewal of all appropriate contracts
• Supporting Sesame Workshop research team with additional administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications

Required
• Bachelors' degree in Education, Child Development, Educational Psychology, International Development, or similar field or equivalent experience
• 2+years of experience in a relevant field, supporting research projects, including research design, data collection, data analysis, and/or report write up
• Proven ability to identify information sources, gather and interpret data, execute analysis, and present findings to team members and stakeholders
• Experience collaborating on research
• Experience working with and researching children and the adults who care for them
• Experience with quantitative and qualitative research methods, and ability to leverage both to support communicating program impact
• Excellent computer skills, including MS Office and internet navigation
• Excellent organizational skills, including keen attention to detail and the ability to manage time effectively, track and follow-up on various tasks, and multi-task
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills
• Ability to work effectively in multi-cultural settings

Desired
• Experience with one or more of the following statistical packages: SPSS, SAS, R
• Fluency in a second language including - but not limited to - Spanish, Bangla, Hindi, Arabic, or Zulu
