Job Description
The E.W. Scripps Company is seeking a Senior Manager, Learning Program to support our Journalism Journey Initiative. Work closely with the Journalism Journey Initiative (JJI) program director, the Learning and Development leaders, and internal subject matter experts (SME's) to create a welcoming and impactful learning environment for JJI cohort members. Responsible for project management, analyzing, designing, developing, delivering, and measuring effective, experience-focused learning solutions and materials.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Define and meet project and learning milestones, including setting clear objectives, establishing timelines, and allocating resources effectively.
• Communicate issues or risks that may impact project progress or learning outcomes.
• Manage and create all aspects of the learning program, including analysis, planning, development, implementation, and evaluation.
• Analyze program requests and individual cohort requests to identify training needs, apply instructional design principles to develop engaging and innovative learning programs that align with company objectives and promote a values-based culture.
• Manage delivery and quality of training programs by effectively managing all aspects of the training lifecycle.
• Partner closely with the director and SME's to ensure the training plans are effective, engaging, and meet the desired outcomes.
• Design and develop instructor-led training programs, video learning, and asynchronous content.
• Lead working teams and work groups to enable the successful delivery of targeted outcomes.
• Seek opportunities to improve measurement processes and establish clear benchmarks for success.
• Create assessments and develop measurement strategies and materials to evaluate the effectiveness of training program and cohort members.
• Analyze data for trends and patterns, utilizing statistical methods and data visualization techniques to identify key insights and report findings.
• Continuously evaluate and improve training programs to enhance effectiveness and meet evolving needs.
• Facilitate, deliver, and provide training and/or presentations as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
• BS/BA in related discipline or equivalent years of experience preferred
• Generally, 7+ years of experience in related field preferred
• Prior managerial experience preferred

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
• Strong program management skills
• Proven ability in designing and developing blended training programs through the entire instructional design cycle
• Strong program management skills and ability to create objectives and processes
• Exceptional consultative skills with a high level of empathy towards the learner
• Knowledge of adult learning, instructional design, distance and hybrid learning theories and methodologies
• Experience incorporating multiple media elements into learning programs, including audio, video, animation, simulation
• Demonstrate a focused, organized, and systematic approach to accomplishing tasks and achieving goals
• Strong measurement and analytical skills in an environment with ambiguous measurement processes
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work collaboratively with a project team, cross-functions, and with outside vendors
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office, and/or equivalent development tools required
