Oversee entire live production of sports events and game telecasts from concept to execution. Manage the production team, coordinating logistics and content, and ensuring a high-quality, engaging broadcast.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Develop and implement strategic content plans for sports broadcasts or programs.
• Manage a team of producers, editors, and other production staff.
• Make high-level editorial decisions and approve final content.
• Coordinate with network executives, sponsors, and key stakeholders.
• Innovate and introduce new concepts, segments, and production techniques.
• Ensure the highest quality of production standards and compliance with all regulations.
• Collaborate closely with the director, on-air talent, and other production staff to develop the programming rundown, camera shots, graphics, replays, and overall game coverage.
• Communicate effectively with the control room, engineering, and other production departments to execute a seamless, high-quality broadcast.
• Oversee a team of production staff including assistant producers, field producers, graphics operators, and more
• Troubleshoot and problem-solve any technical or production issues that arise during the live event.
• Work with production managers to coordinate logistics such as scheduling, equipment, and personnel for game productions.
• Stay informed on the latest sports news, rules, and trends to provide relevant and compelling coverage.
• Provide creative input and oversight on the look, feel, and presentation of game broadcasts.
• Ensure all productions adhere to network standards, brand guidelines, and FCC regulations.
• Serve as a production lead and mentor for junior members of the team.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
• BS/BA in related discipline or equivalent years of experience preferred
• Generally, 8+ years of experience in related field preferred
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to direct a production crew
• Strong news judgment, storytelling ability, and understanding of sports strategy and analytics
• Proficient knowledge of live sports production workflows, equipment, and technology
• Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Adaptable, resourceful, and able to effectively manage multiple priorities
• Passion for sports and a track record of creating engaging game telecasts
• Willingness to work long, irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as required
