Job Description

The E.W. Scripps Company is hiring a Director, Creative Services who will l ead the marketing and branding efforts on multiple platforms for multiple stations. In this role, you will specifically support our stations in Miami, FL, and West Palm Beach, FL.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Oversee the brand image strategy and execution, including supervising all aspects of station promotion and marketing using on-air,
online and outside media resources.
• Provide leadership and guidance to creative services teams.
• Responsible for the development of promotional strategic plans, multi-media marketing plans, promotional News campaigns, general programming promotion.
• Develop web-based promotion and monitor image of station websites.
• Supervise day-to-day activities in the Promotion Department for station(s).
• Liaison with network and syndicators regarding station promotional activities.
• Responsible for commercial production and sales promotion for the Sales Department.
• Develop and monitor annual budgets for Creative Services Departments.
• Develop plans for community outreach.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned by station GM and corporate management.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications
or other related field preferred or equivalent business experience
• Generally, 10 + years of progressively responsible multimedia creative/management experience in the areas of promotion, production and/or creative services
• Proven track record for development of successful marketing concepts and branding efforts is a necessity

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
• Possess a keen interest and understanding in the latest technology and social media applications as applicable to marketing
• Must possess effective leadership and management skills as well as the ability to work well with management team
• Possess the ability to conceive, produce, implement and measure strategic marketing plan based on research
• Organization and prioritization of multiple projects
• Working knowledge of WideOrbit preferred
• Working knowledge of non-linear editing systems
• Working knowledge of graphic creation and compositing software
• Ability to travel up to 25%
• Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to provide proof of insurance with the company required insurance limits.
