Job Description
The E.W. Scripps Company is seeking a Digital Insights Analyst who will be responsible for analysis of user behavior, content consumption patterns, and trends across streaming and digital touchpoints. Work closely with research and analytics leaders to extract actionable insights to inform content decisions, optimize user experiences, and drive audience growth.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Understand, manage, and work with data from various sources including streaming platforms, websites, audience surveys, and social media platforms.
• Assist with analysis of streaming and digital data including viewership patterns and behavior and content performance trends.
• Assist with data interpretation to derive actionable insights that will guide audience acquisition and retention strategy, content strategy, and product improvements.
• Evaluate performance of content across different categories, formats, and platforms.
• Assist with instrumentation of streaming and digital measurement tools.
• Work with analytics team to set up custom dashboards and reports.
• Assist with consumer research (both formal and informal) to ensure initiatives are grounded in consumer understanding.
• Coordinate and communicate
• Collaborate with and train broader research team on digital and streaming measurement.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
• BA/BS degree in related discipline or equivalent years of experience preferred
• Generally, 2+ year's experience in related field preferred
WHAT YOU'LL BIRNG:
• Mastery of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
• Ability to effectively communicate in a variety of formats (i.e. email, written reports, one-on-one discussions, formal presentations)
• Knowledge of digital analytics tools such as Conviva, Parse.ly, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Amplitude, or similar platforms a plus
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
• A proclivity of curiosity and discernment
• A passion for media and data
