Generalist

Job Description

Reporting to the VFX Generalist Supervisor, the Generalist displays a high proficiency in varied skills across areas of realism lighting, modeling texture, shading, look development, hard surface animation, rendering with the ability to composite their own work. As a seasoned VFX professional working on feature films, the Generalist is able to break down complex VFX shot work for workflow/schedules and support mentoring/training of others.

Key Responsibilities
• Create high-quality digital composites and visual effects for live-action feature films and seamlessly integrates the various layers of a shot
• Execute a broad range of VFX tasks including look development, lighting objects, modeling, texturing, animation, and rendering
• Establish looks and/or follow set style direction
• Understand and follows production guidelines; solves design and/or effect challenges for key visual effects shots.
• Receive and implement feedback quickly and effectively

Minimum Qualifications
• Minimum two (2) years of live-action visual effects experience
• Experience with 3ds Max software is preferred but Maya experience will be considered so long as you are willing to learn 3ds Max
• Working knowledge of the following software: 3ds Max, V-Ray, 3ds Max plug-in experience highly desired such as Forrest pack, and Thinking Particles and etc.
• Solid knowledge of principles of 3D
• Some working experience and knowledge of shader writing, and lighting
• Possess strong technical skills and the ability to learn new software quickly
• Must have the ability to problem-solve and predict potential problems with assigned VFX tasks
• Ability to take direction positively, work well within a team, and thrive under the pressure of tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Basic understanding of MAXScript

담당업무
• 실사 장편 영화를 위한 고품질 디지털 합성 및 시각 효과를 생성하고 샷의 다양한 레이어를 매끄럽게 통합할 수 있어야 합니다.
• 룩 개발, 오브젝트 조명, 모델링, 텍스처링, 애니메이션 및 렌더링을 포함한 다양한 VFX 작업 실행할 수 있어야 합니다.
• 룩을 설정 하고, 연출에 맞추어 작업해야 합니다.
• 프로덕션 지침을 이해하고 준수하며, 주요 시각 효과 장면 내 디자인이나 연출 이펙트에 대한 문제를 해결해야 합니다.
• 신속하고 효과적으로 피드백을 받고 구현해내야 합니다.

최소 자격
• 최소 2년 이상의 실사 시각 효과 경험
• 3ds Max 소프트웨어 사용 경험자 우대, 3ds Max를 배우고자 하는 경우 Maya 경험도 인정될 수 있음
• 다음 소프트웨어에 대한 실무 지식: Forrest pack, Thinking Particles 등과 같은 3ds Max, V-Ray, 3ds Max 플러그인 경험자 각별 우대
• 셰이더 작성 및 조명에 대한 일부 작업 경험과 지식
• 높은 기술력 및 새로운 소프트웨어를 빠르게 학습할 수 있는 능력 보유자
• 할당된 VFX 작업과 관련된 문제를 해결하는 능력
• 긍정적으로 방향을 잡고, 팀워크가 좋으며, 촉박한 마감 기한의 압박 속에서도 성과를 낼 수 있는 사람

선호하는 자격
• 학사 학위 또는 그에 준하는 실무 경험
• MAXScript에 대한 기본 이해
