Rogue Matter is an entertainment company with a catalog of original titles distributed over video, podcast and eBooks.

DESCRIPTION:

Rogue Matter is seeking an experienced and ambitious marketing expert with a real passion for entertainment to join our growing media business. This individual will help drive the development and execution of marketing campaigns, partnerships and programs that use the Rogue Matter catalog of IP to build a fanbase and drive viewership and engagement with our content.

You understand what it means to build and be a custodian of an entertainment brand and have a history of producing marketing avenues that can launch a variety of content verticals. You have the ability to communicate with a burgeoning fan base across multiple platforms. A natural leader, you listen to and collaborate with internal departments/teams to align early on overall strategy and goals. Lastly, you thrive in a quick moving environment and are an excellent teammate.

The ideal candidate will have a background and some level of nerd passion for marketing comic book-like titles (books, film & TV). An understanding of partnerships and relationship building skills and the ability to execute as both a leader and team member.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Report directly to the CEO/Founder.
  • Help drive campaign development from strategy, concepting and execution, by managing day to day communications with external agency partners, our fanbase and internal key stakeholders.
  • Help create scalable and bespoke programs that highlight the Rogue Matter Ecosystem (comic books, graphic novels, podcast, video) to build audiences for new original content.
  • Be able to help build customized branding/marketing campaigns - You have successfully worked on multiple types of content at different stages of development and understand how to position and build large scale reach and desire for that content.
  • Copywriting - copywriting/messaging creation for all website verbiage, social, outreach, etc.
  • Social Media - day to day of creating and posting and interacting with the Rogue Matter community on Facebook, Instagram, etc.
  • Strong business and strategic acumen with confirmed history in having successfully led a highly experienced marketing, program, partner or partner alliances.
  • Craft executive reports to demonstrate the ongoing impact of the programs implemented.
  • Must enjoy pitching, bring collaborative energy, and drive to do what’s best for the Rogue Matter brand.
  • Experience in building creative digital media and sponsorship programs that drive brand awareness and high user engagement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS Degree.
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in digital media and marketing at a creative agency or on the client-side, at an entertainment company/brand or with a media company (multi-disciplinary experience preferred).
  • Stay on top of industry trends, events, new technology, and unique opportunities.
  • Self-starter, ambitious, and self-sufficient.
  • Analytics driven and able to deliver, track and optimize across critical metrics.
  • International experience or experience collaborating with international teams preferred.
  • Experience working directly with talent and creators to collaborate on campaigns.
  • Presentation (PowerPoint), written and verbal communication skills.
  • Establish synergy marketing resources and toolbox including toolkits, spec requirements, and brand guidelines.
  • Have an understanding how to communicate clearly across an entertainment brand’s marketing organization - including talent and with all levels of colleagues.
  • Understands today’s audience and how and where they consume entertainment and has a proven track record working first-hand on the development and execution of high-profile campaigns.
  • Someone that is truly innovative and can conceptualize and actualize creative ideas that will make an imprint on the cultural zeitgeist.
