Responsibilities

The Overview:

R&C/PMK Los Angeles is seeking an experienced VP to join our fast-growing Brand Strategy and Thought Leadership group. This exciting role will lead teams across both global brands and start-ups within several diverse industries including technology, entertainment, and media.

The Fine Print:

Reporting in the EVP of Brand Strategy, this role will serve as the primary contact for several clients at the C-Suite level. You will lead and develop account teams to encourage creative PR that drives our client's corporate objectives.

As Vice President, you will develop multi-faceted corporate and consumer comms strategies utilizing a mix of PR tactics, including: top-tier earned media across digital, audio and traditional; owned media; speaking opportunities and conferences; sponsorships and partnerships; and events.

A key part of success is researching, identifying, and helping negotiate strategic narratives and partnerships for existing clients and new businesses. You should be immersed in trends in tech, lifestyle, and culture, which gives you a strong POV on how to create meaningful platforms for brands that move the world forward.

Who you are:

You're a natural storyteller and understand how to create sophisticated narratives for different audiences. You show a passion for the constantly-evolving consumer and corporate landscape. You will thrive working in a fast-paced and results-oriented role that requires you to counsel and advise clients on overall brand strategy, landscape analysis, and consumer trends.

You have a proven track record of developing and implementing integrated PR strategies that utilize the full scope of the communications mix, including media relations, influencer outreach, talent relations, and events. You have experience working as part of an integrated marketing team, representing the PR POV while helping to run cross-agency workstreams for national/global campaigns.

As a team leader, you'll have experience mentoring and developing the skill set of the rising stars in your team. You will work with peers to foster the mission, goals, and culture of the agency.

You will be used to approaching your work with an entrepreneurial mentality. You'll seek out change and embrace critical questioning, innovation, service, and continuous evolution.

The Needs:

This role is accountable for quality control and review of budgets, planning and strategy decks, recaps, vendor and partner contracts, and overall project management.
• Experience at Director or VP level achieved within an agency structure or internal equivalent
• Ability to develop strong traditional media, social media, and influencer strategies
• Experience with executive visibility and thought leadership
• Proven experience evolving and elevating agency processes and client strategies with changing trends in the media landscape
• Experience working within an integrated agency team structure
• Team leader
