Senior Pipeline TD

Job Description

As a Senior Pipeline TD for REALTIME you will provide technical support for our creative teams. You’ll identify a wide variety of software or technical possibilities to assist production teams, single out issues, and implement necessary solutions. You will be working with our Directors to help develop the necessary tools, pipeline and systems that required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist the Pipeline team to create, maintain and extend parts of our pipeline. Contribute to innovative ways to improve and advance our pipeline with new tools and scripts.

Design and develop tools and interfaces through hands on software engineering & scripting, optimise internal efficiencies, producing systems that are both reusable and scalable.

Liaise with Production and Directors to update and determine pipeline requirements, goals, and challenges.

Proactively engage in R&D on new tools, processes & features to stay on the leading edge of new developments in the industry.

Develop bespoke tools and systems into Unreal Engine 5 to meet our expanding tech suite in realtime engines.

MUST HAVE SKILLS & QUALITIES:

• Strong knowledge of at least one 3D package, (ideally Houdini)
• Good knowledge of Shotgrid.
• Good knowledge of renderers and compositing software (ideally V-Ray and Nuke).
• Good skills in software engineering/debugging.
• Strong knowledge of Python.
• Tools design, development and maintenance experience in a similar field.
• Ability to designing complex reusable systems, while optimising the existing codebase.
• Ability to work with Shotgrid and further it’s integration into a pipeline.
• Ability to research, implement and modify existing techniques
• Experience documenting pipelines and tools and providing guidance to artists
• Experience working in CG, Games or Visualisation industries.
• Understanding of moving data through the pipeline

• Knowledge of UE4/5.
• Knowledge of C++.
• Solid 3D Maths.
• Knowledge and experience using databases, unit testing tools and build management systems.
