Job Description
Fairchild Media Group: Temporary Acting Deputy Editor

Responsibilities:
• Serve as the ''hub'' for communications for all teams across time zones (London, Paris, Milan, New York, and LA) for all stories going on WWD.com, and in the Digital Daily, Special Sections, and WWD Weekend.
• Ensure all the stories going on WWD.com are on the Daily Lineup each day and curate the Digital Daily Lineup from that.
• Work with Chief Content Officer and Bureau Chiefs on speedy release of major breaking news, working with the social team on strategic rollout.
• Plan covers for the Digital Daily with Chief Content Officer, Bureau Chiefs, and Senior Managers.
• Host the morning cover meeting for WWD and the afternoon Digital Daily Lineup meeting, as needed.
• Create, maintain, and share lineups for all WWD Weekend issues, special sections, and more with writers, editors, the Chief Content Officer, Copy, and production teams.
• Coordinate and edit coverage with Executive Editor, News Director, Senior Men's Editor, Style Director, Eye Editor, Executive Digital Director, Social Media Team, and Commerce Director.
• Work with Chief of Staff to plan out and assign all WWD Weekend Issues and Special Sections, setting ad-to-edit ratios and assigning out stories with Chief Content Officer; Correspond with all writers and editors working on special sections and WWD Weekend issues, setting deadlines for stories, features, shoots, video and social deliverables.
• Proofread Cover stories, major features, and stories that are sensitive in nature for the site and all print products.
• Work with Design Director and Visuals Director to set deadlines for and track production of all WWDWeekend.com photo and multimedia assets.
• Draft press releases and work with PR team on release
• Work with the Executive Digital Director to coordinate and assign the coverage of major awards shows and cultural events on weekends.
• Collaborate on the print and digital coverage of all fashion weeks with International Digital Director, Bureau Chiefs, Chief Content Officer, Style Director, and Executive Digital Director.
• Help Executive Digital Director and Deputy Digital Director in editing awards show and special coverage as needed.
• Work with Executive Digital Director and Deputy Digital Director on brainstorming, planning, assigning, and editing archival and other evergreen features, stories, and galleries.
• Strategize with Executive Digital Director and Social Team for maximum audience reach for all content.
• Pull data as needed for sales to package digital and social content.
