Overview:

The Senior Director of Product Marketing at Pluto TV plays a pivotal role in shaping the success of product features and driving user engagement in the competitive streaming market. The role requires a strategic leader responsible for driving the go-to-market strategies and on-going growth driven promotional activities for key product features and developments. This position is laser-focused on increasing user registration, engagement, TVH (Total Viewing Hours), and ultimately, customer lifetime value. The Senior Director will work closely with the Product team to inform and influence PI planning and product roadmap prioritization and will collaborate with the broader marketing team to align product and user experience priorities with content and brand initiatives. Additionally, this role involves managing a team of one or two product marketers and will report into the VP of Engagement Marketing. Join the team!

Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement a product marketing strategy, including positioning and messaging, that resonates with the target audience and differentiates Pluto TV from competitors.
• Develop and implement go-to-market strategies for key product features and enhancements to increase their impact on user registration, Total Viewing Hours (TVH), and lifetime value. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product releases.
• Partner with the Product team to provide insights and data-driven recommendations to influence PI (Program Increment) planning and prioritize product roadmap decisions.
• Conduct market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape. Analyze user data and feedback to find opportunities for product improvement and growth. Define and track key performance indicators to measure the success of product marketing efforts and provide regular reports and insights.
• Work closely with product management, design, engineering, and content teams to ensure alignment on product development and marketing strategies.
• Support the development of strategies for promoting Pluto TV's content library and exclusive partnerships to drive user engagement. Collaborate with content and programming teams to support effective brand and acquisition marketing campaigns.
• Lead and mentor a team of 1 or 2 product marketers to implement marketing strategies effectively.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• 10+ years of experience in product marketing in the streaming and on-demand, entertainment or content subscription- based products.
• Experience developing and implementing successful go-to-market strategies for key product features, with a focus on increasing user registration, user engagement, and customer lifetime value.

Additional Qualifications:
• Proven experience with on-going planning of in-product messaging campaigns across a portfolio of apps including mobile and living room devices.
• Creative thinking and the ability to translate complex product features into compelling messaging.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Data-driven and analytical mentality with proficiency in marketing analytics and defining and tracking critical metrics to measure the success of product marketing efforts.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a cross-functional team (e.g., product management, design, engineering, and content) to influence product roadmap decisions and ensure successful product releases that align with marketing strategies.
• Experience managing and mentor a team of 1-2 product marketers.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $139,200.00 - 185,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
