Overview:

The Senior Business Analyst (Content & Programming) will give immediately towards optimizing the growth and performance of our content offerings by improving the power of both our partnerships with providers and our programming capabilities. This role is part of the Financial Planning & Analysis team and reports to the FP&A Manager, Business Analytics (Content & Programming).
Our team aims to drive strategic business decisions at all levels through high-quality, accurate, and timely data and insights. This position will focus primarily on handling and conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis to support the operational goals of cross-functional teams, including Content Partnerships and Programming, and executives. The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator, have an extensive analytical background, and thrive in collaborative settings.

Responsibilities Include:

This is a meaningful role to our team with a wide range of responsibilities, including the following:
• Financial Analysis: Developing business models, forecasts, and recommendations based on findings. Providing detailed monthly and quarterly financial overviews to management. Supporting FP&A reporting cycles, including annual budgets and long range plans. Participating in delivering results and presentations to internal and external collaborators.
• Revenue Forecasts: Working with content partner account leads to handle priority accounts and to run revenue forecast models against existing business. Additionally, developing financial modeling forecasts to inform deal analysis for new, prospective content partners using internal metrics to support.
• Reporting and Dashboards: Collaborating with the Business Intelligence and FP&A teams to craft, improve, and lead revenue dashboards, monitor business performance, analyze business drivers, and provide insights & visualization of important metrics. Augmenting existing revenue reporting processes to ensure accurate and timely partner reporting.
• Content Operations Costs: Collaborating with Content Operations to develop a flawless process to track, summarize & recoup overage costs, track expenses and payouts, and assist the content organization with their day-to-day financial operations including purchase orders.
• Business Planning: Generating recurring financial and KPI forecasts for each partner based on context, analyzing progress toward KPI targets, and making recommendations to senior and executive leadership on meeting or exceeding targets based on the Operating Plan. This will require working closely with Content Partnership Leads and FP&A.
• Ad Hoc Analysis: Sourcing and manipulating large data sets of content partner usage and revenue performance to create clear and practical analysis for internal review and rapid decision making

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree required, a focus in Accounting, Finance, or related area preferred
• 5+ years of work experience in a finance, accounting, or similar quantitative role; media, entertainment, and/or technology experience a plus

Additional Qualification:
• Advanced Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace suite skills, particularly Excel/Sheets and Powerpoint/Slides
• Exceptional financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical abilities
• A willingness and quick ability to learn new software
• Excellent communication and presentation skills - be able to handle and synthesize large datasets to deliver insights in an easy-to-digest format for management and external partners
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
• Experience with Alteryx
• Basic SQL proficiency
