Pluto TV's Product Design team is currently looking for an experienced Senior Product Designer to join us. This designer will lead cross-platform design focused on internationalization initiatives and support our various platforms throughout the development process. The goal of this role is to improve the user's experience in a manner that will increase the quality of release, drive user sign-ups, and increase user engagement and frequency.

The role will report to a Director of Product Design who manages a portfolio of discovery and core experience initiatives. This role may manage UX designer(s).

Responsibilities

This is a meaningful role with a wide range of responsibilities, including:
• Excel at creating user interface, user experience, and information architecture designs at various levels of fidelity.
• Guide cross-platform initiatives from conception to final actionable designs through collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders using Lean UX principles.
• Lead or assist usability studies and other qualitative research.
• Facilitate the development of various features by supporting delivery scrum teams at the platform level.
• Advocate for consistency among our experiences while keeping a delivery-focused mindset.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to find the most efficient methods of solving user problems through astute implementation and considerate augmentation of the design system.
• Mentor and manage more junior designers.
• Actively and enthusiastically participate or facilitate scrum meetings in accordance with the agile framework.
• Plan and track work by facilitating communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Qualities / Experience We're Seeking

We believe these are the key requirements to be successful:
• Expert-level knowledge of using Figma in a design team setting
• Familiarity with Lean UX principles and eagerness for implementing them
• At least two years of product design experience working as part of a product design team. Agile team experience is preferred
• Experience designing for internationalization and localization efforts specifically focused on visual hierarchy, language direction, cultural differences, and translations
• Experience using a design system management tool like Zeroheight or Design System Manager
• Exceptional enthusiasm for solving new or novel problems for users and stakeholders

Non-essential, but appreciated experience:
• Prior experience leading or participating in design workshops with cross-functional teams
• Prior experience designing for connected TV
• Prior experience designing for entertainment brands
• Prior experience participating in the management of a design system that supports connected TV devices in addition to mobile, tablet, and desktop web devices
