Summary

Pluto TV is looking for a Director of Engineering, Content Services to provide key full-stack software leadership for development of a new and improved advanced content and video asset management system for our video services on mobile, web and TV platforms.

Responsibilities Include
• Software development leadership of an onshore and offshore team with responsibility for development of a new and improved advanced content and video asset management system for our video services on mobile, web and TV platforms.
• Responsible for overseeing all four Content Services teams: CMS, MAM, CFeeds and Rights Management. Hiring, leadership and mentoring.
• Architectural oversight of the entire content management pipeline from licensing and ingestion, through to scheduling and distribution.

Qualities / Experience We're Seeking
• Experience with video formats and protocols (MP4, HLS, DASH, DRM), content management (video content rights management)
• Knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL systems, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis
• Recent experience using React, TypeScript, NodeJS, Express
• Technical hands-on software architecture experience
• 10+ years experience in the industry as a developer
• 5+ years in the industry as a manager, mentor and/or team lead
• Experience working on a variety of video streaming platforms
• Experience handling high-traffic applications and high-complexity use cases
