POSITION OVERVIEW:
The 76ers Scouting Department is responsible for providing player evaluations and research to the front office. The Video Scout will assist the Philadelphia 76ers Scouting Department and front office by supporting basketball decision-making in the areas of player personnel and scouting. This position will be required to study and provide comprehensive reports on players at all levels of basketball. A successful applicant will have a very strong understanding of watching, studying, and evaluating players from both a basketball and analytical perspective as well as effective written and communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
• Through video analysis, execute year-round game studies of prospective and current NBA players. Submit comprehensive reports supported by video clips and data analysis.
• Attend 76ers scouting functions, including but not limited to: preseason scouting meetings, mid-season scouting meetings, pre-draft meetings, and the NBA draft.
• Provide thoughtful insights and recommendations on all 76ers Scouting Department matters, including player analysis, scouting processes and data integration efforts.
• Expected to have an advanced knowledge of all relevant draft prospects on a year-to-year basis.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and with deadlines
• Very high attention to detail and focus for extended periods of time
• Demonstrated passion for basketball and familiarity with basketball rules and terminology
• Amateur or professional basketball experience in other capacities preferred (playing, coaching, manager, player development, analytics)
• Experience with Synergy
• Experience with video editing software
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
• Willingness to relocate
