Library Marketing Manager – Random House Children's Books

Random House Children's Books is currently seeking a Marketing Manager of Library Marketing to join the School & Library team. This role will work closely with the full School & Library marketing team to craft plans, ensure consistent messaging and calculated strategy, and analyze results, and will have the opportunity to work across the entire RHCB Marketing and Publicity teams as well as editors, publishers, and Sales team and with our catalog of bestselling authors like Candace Fleming, Tae Keller, Nic Stone, Nicola Yoon, Holly Jackson, and E. Lockhart.

The ideal candidate will have previous School & Library experience including planning and executing conferences, programming and author events. We are looking for highly creative and collaborative candidates with strong communication skills, and who have experience building relationships with third party partners. The ideal candidate will be able to prioritize across many simultaneous projects and timelines seamlessly. Attention to detail is a must and the ability to travel is a plus as the School & Library team attends several in-person trade shows each year.

Responsibilities include:
• Plan and execute the library trade advertising strategy, including both print and digital promotions, by working with ad reps on placement, writing copy, coordinating with design, and working with the full School & Library team on title specific promotions and campaigns
• Work closely with the Digital Marketing team on email marketing strategy with an emphasis on email acquisition as well as the creation and deployment of the Random House Teachers and Librarians monthly newsletter and targeted eblasts
• Plan and execute monthly updates for the Random House Teachers and Librarian website including maintaining a content schedule, coordinating with design team on creative, and liaising with full School & Library team on asset production and features
• Work closely with Director of Library Marketing on in-person and virtual event strategy with a particular eye to in-booth promotions and logistics
• Work closely with Director of Library Marketing and Executive Director of School & Library Marketing on award strategy
• Explore and nurture relationships in the librarian community to further enhance the awareness for title specific campaigns and overall library marketing strategy
• Manage the creation of all title and campaign marketing materials, as well as materials for trade shows, including writing copy, coordinating with design and production, and distributing finished materials
• Develop and implement creative and strategic frontlist and backlist marketing plans for assigned titles with a goal of engaging public and school librarians

Requirements/Qualifications:
• At least 3 years prior experience creating and executing marketing campaigns. Experience in book marketing or publishing a plus. Experience in children's School & Library marketing a plus
• Self-motivated, able to prioritize, and can work independently as well as in a team
• Creative thinker with an eye to developing campaigns and strategy
• Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Candidate should be proactive and exceptionally organized, able to meet deadlines
• Strong communication, presentation and writing skills are essential
• Willingness and ability to travel to various locations for trade shows
