Associate Marketing Manager, Young Readers (Open to Remote)
We are looking for an Associate Marketing Manager to join the Random House Children's Books Trade Marketing team to assist in the development and execution of marketing materials and campaigns across the Middle Grade and Chapter Book list. Random House Children's Books is home to bestselling and award-winning trade authors and illustrators from R. J. Palacio (Wonder) and Katherine Rundell (Impossible Creatures) to Lisa Yee and Dan Santat (creators of The Misfits series), Christopher Paul Curtis (Bud, Not Buddy), and more.
Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, the Associate Marketing Manager will work closely with the School & Library Marketing, Audience Engagement, and Publicity teams to develop materials and execute cohesive plans to reach booksellers, young readers, and parents of young readers with the intent of creating awareness and driving sales.
Specific responsibilities include:
• Develop and execute marketing campaigns for select frontlist and backlist Middle Grade and Chapter Book titles
• Partner with the Senior Marketing Manager on category-wide Middle Grade and Chapter Book projects and initiatives
• Manage marketing budgets for assigned titles, ensuring effective allocation of resources
• Create, route, and track campaign assets and materials
• Collaborate with design, audience engagement, school & library marketing, and publicity teams to ensure cohesive marketing plans and messaging
• Represent campaigns, event strategy, and marketing opportunities in meetings with internal and external stakeholders
• Use market research and analytics to monitor trends and optimize strategies and audience targeting
• Provide additional support to the Senior Marketing Manager as needed

• At least 3–4 years of experience in marketing; book marketing experience preferred.
• Are interested in working with books for young readers (ages 5–12); experience reaching parents of young children or similar audiences is a plus
• Are highly organized and able to communicate effectively and efficiently while maintaining strong attention to detail
• Are self-motivated and comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively with a team
• Can manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and stay solution-oriented
• Are eager to learn and collaborate
The PRH office is located in New York City. This position is open to remote candidates based in the United States who can work primarily in the Eastern or Central time zones.
The salary or salary range for this position is $66,500. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to Company results.
