Sr Analyst, Data Governance
As part of the Peacock Decision Sciences team, the Sr Analyst, Data Governance will be responsible for ensuring a high level of consumer data protection and governance is maintained across Peacock's technical systems, while championing the integration of regulatory and legal requirements into the Peacock products. Working closely with Privacy Counsel and a wide range of internal stakeholders, this position will help define and implement strategies to achieve the above goals; as well as work with the Director, Data Program Management on the tactical day-to-day data management processes. These strategies and processes will govern consumer data throughout the data lifecycle. Responsibilities include:
• Assist in developing and executing processes to ensure compliance with various laws and regulations, including VPPA, COPPA, CCPA and others. This includes the management of the Peacock privacy portal.
• In partnership with the Director and team, develop and execute a data governance program to include but not limited to:
• Documentation of policies and standards associated with business unit data assets and data availability
• Alignment and standardization of data stewardship roles and responsibilities
• Development and coordination of technology strategy to enable preventative and detective Data Governance controls
• Creation and ongoing support of cross-functional policy making teams
• Help to Define roles and responsibilities related to consumer data governance and establish standard operating procedures for data stewardship
• Introduce quality and protection KPIs to measure against objectives
Qualifications/Requirements
• 1-2+ years of technical experience with data & analytics platforms, specific exposure to real time data environments a plus
• 1-2+ years of primary experience in defining, documenting and implementing Data Governance best practices, policies & procedures, preferably with consumer data in a large organization
• Understanding of consumer privacy statutes and maintain current on data trends and legal implications
• BA/BS in technical or quantitative discipline or relevant work experience
