As part of the Direct-to-Consumer Decision Sciences team, the Data Engineer will be responsible for creating a connected data ecosystem that unleashes the power of our streaming data. We gather data from across all customer/prospect journeys in near real-time, to allow fast feedback loops across territories; combined with our strategic data platform, this data ecosystem is at the core of being able to make intelligent customer and business decisions.

In this role, the Manager, Data Engineering will share responsibilities managing technical team and business asks

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Responsible for managing customer & technical team discussions and deriving the functional data requirements
• Responsible to keep project on track with respect to technology and delivery commitments
• Excellent communication with ability to articulate the data into business terms and vice versa
• Experienced Technical program manager(Sr Role)
• Must be hands on experience with Core Data Analytics Skills SQL etc.
• Should be able to help the team in resolving their technical issues
• Good to have knowledge on GCP offerings or any other cloud

Desired Characteristics
• Data Analytical development background with skills such as SQL and No SQL etc
• Agile SAFE Methodolgy Certified with Developer/Engineering Background
• Expert in Programming Language either JAVA or Python etc
• Worked as DevOps Engineer and created CI/CD pipelines from scratch
• Managed production workloads on GKE Kubernetes
• Technical development background with cloud experience GCP tech stack or others
• Ability to work effectively across functions, disciplines, and levels
• Team-oriented and collaborative approach with a demonstrated aptitude, enthusiasm and willingness to learn new methods, tools, practices and skills
• Ability to recognize discordant views and take part in constructive dialogue to resolve them
• Pride and ownership in your work and confident representation of your team to other parts of NBCUniversal
