What we're looking for:
We're on the hunt for a Director of Globalization and Devices on our Product Design team, part of the Direct to Consumer org. Your role is the first of its kind: you'll own the end-to-end globalization viewing experience and device feature strategy. You'll partner with other Design Directors to evolve and elevate the experience of watching entertainment, live events, kids, news, and sports content in and out of the home. As part of the product team, you'll also collaborate with product, technology, marketing, data, and insights teams to elegantly solve problems for users while driving business value.

What you'll do:
• Develop localization strategy for global platform rollout.
• Own device feature strategy for platform-specific optimizations.
• Partner with the design systems team on design foundations for our global product experiences.
• Advocate and lead as domain expert for all of your team's designs.
• Serve as globalization, internationalization, and localization subject matter expert, providing design guidance, documenting best practices, and escalating risks.
• Unlock the full capabilities of our design system and UI components, while expanding the system to fit non-English languages.
• Track team performance, goals, and growth through quarterly OKRs.
• Measure, monitor, and report on KPIs, with a scalable approach to data management.
• Lead design thinking workshops, sprint planning, share-outs, and more, overseeing seamless partnership across multiple product teams.
• Drive stakeholder and leadership alignment around globalization process, insights, and design decisions.
• Identify the unique nuances of languages, cultures, and people, and translate these into engaging product experiences.

How you lead:
• By prioritizing diversity, inclusivity, accessibility, internationalization, and localization.
• With a strong, seasoned storytelling POV that embraces all audiences: from first-time viewers to Peacock programming experts.
• With impeccable instincts, solid cross-functional collaboration skills, and a talent for crafting vivid, compelling experiences within a complex product ecosystem.
• You're generous with your time, participating in design crits, stakeholder reviews, hiring panels, legal share-outs, and more.
• With autonomy, empowering your teams to craft the strongest experiences possible, ensuring they have all the resources, tools, principles, and context to succeed.
• By challenging your team to push the limits of product design across every platform and surface.

Qualifications
• Experience working with globalization, internationalization, and localization teams.
• Expert experience leading design teams as a people manager or leader.
• Passion for designing global products, with expert knowledge of localization, regional, and cultural considerations.
• Experience working on consumer-facing products across multiple platforms (TV, desktop, and mobile).
• Familiarity launching products in international regions.
• A show-stopping portfolio of work that touts your design talents across multiple digital platforms (TV, mobile, web).
• Exceptional understanding of typography, animation, editing, color, motion, and overall brand/design thinking.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills. A talent for making data-driven decisions that power action plans and improve workflow velocity.
