NBCUniversal is hiring an Art Director, Editorial Creative to join a creative and passionate team that is responsible for our customer's experience on Peacock. Our Editorial Creative team is seeking a highly collaborative and solutions-minded leader who is adept at swiftly handling change in a constantly evolving environment. Here's where all those hours watching The Office and Harry Potter finally pay off -- in this position, you'll get to leverage your expert knowledge while working with the wider Peacock org to support top-tier and high-profile company-wide campaigns. Your designs will drive newcomers and film buffs alike to engage with all the amazing content Peacock has to offer.

This position requires seasoned expertise in digital design and its relationship with metadata, as well as confidence negotiating creative solutions for both internal and external partners. Data and the customer experience will be your driving forces as you collaborate with studios, marketers, product developers, operations specialists, data scientists, technologists and show runners to support Editorial image requirements on Peacock. You will be a subject matter expert for all things related to imagery and how content appears on Peacock, while providing guidance and best practices to ensure our spec standards are upheld.

Your refined eye, workflow expertise and knack for processes will ensure consistent, accurate and on-time deliveries for Peacock. The successful candidate will join a talented creative team of writers and designers who are tasked with supporting our crucial content supply chain.

Responsibilities
• Mentor and provide oversight of a small team of designers, interns and contractors, including direct management of the Associate, Editorial Design role and support for the onboarding and management of all future interns
• Liaise with internal partners at multiple levels on the Product team to identify needs, provide direction, and advise on best practice guidance while managing additions to and iterations of the ever-evolving Editorial Toolkit
• Oversee end-to-end imagery workflows for Peacock Originals, high-volume image asset updates to support feature releases, QA of new content arrivals, external partner feeds and more
• Creatively support marquee titles and stunts like Pay 1 and Day & Date film releases
• Own the image processes that support the ad sales and sponsored content teams
• Build and maintain a growing library of artwork specification and best practice documentation
• Confidently present creative documentation and provide editorial image guidance to external and internal partners
• Coach early career team members in creating and polishing creative documentation as it evolves, including how to handle retroactive updates on platform or support the presentation of guidance to stakeholders
• Identify workflow pain points and work cross-functionally with all stakeholders to reevaluate, iterate, present, and execute new workflow optimizations
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of our end-to-end imagery process across all workflows and system touch points
• Confidently guide internal partners such as Marketing and Product teams in new project kickoffs, including requirements-gathering and evaluating LOE for changes to imagery specifications or workflows
• Pitch new ideas for custom creative and act as a creative sounding board with the greater Editorial team when brainstorming for topical stunts, Hubs, Collections and priority title support
• Identify new ways to work more closely with the adjacent metadata team, advocating for their needs and timeline requirements in cross-functional meetings
• Champion the Editorial Creative team, elevating EC's visibility and authority within the wider flock
• Uphold and challenge the already-incredibly-high creative standard EC has established for Peacock Editorial imagery and design
• Strive to promote and support DEI not only in your creative featured on Peacock, but within the creative team and its culture as well

Qualifications
• Minimum 6 years design experience in entertainment or closely related industry
• An online portfolio reflecting that experience, including shipped and currently in-market campaigns, and demonstrating end-to-end design methodology
• Minimum 3 years working with design project management software and collaborative virtual communication tools; Airtable and OneDrive experience a plus
• Advanced expertise with leading design tools, including the Adobe Creative Cloud
• Experience with content aggregation services; familiarity with Gracenote preferred
• Ability to manage, prioritize, and deliver time-sensitive requests, visually supporting an ever-changing content pipeline 7 days a week; must be willing to work evenings, weekends, extended hours or holidays as needed
• Working knowledge of MVPD, OTT and SVOD publishing procedures a plus
• Demonstrated interest in staying current on industry trends and best practices
• A genuine passion and familiarity with film and television
• Ability to work remotely while based out of Los Angeles, California

Salary range: $110,000 - $140,000 (bonus eligible)
