Director, Technology
Team: Product Development
Status: Full-Time/Exempt/Fixed-term (funded by a grant for 2 years)

We're a small team responsible for big projects. We're hiring an experienced engineer who will help guide the implementation of a single sign-on solution across PBS web and mobile products and other public media properties.

About The Role
The person in this role will:
• Work closely with internal PBS teams and consumers of the SSO solution.
• Create and manage the technical plan for the project.
• Uncover, assess, and mitigate technical risks. Balance technical tradeoffs.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders.

Technical Skills:
• 4+ years as Senior Engineer / Technical Lead, or similar experience.
• Experience delivering apps using Python, Django
• Experience authoring and consuming APIs
• Experience with relational databases and data modeling
• Professional experience working with OAuth 2.0, OpenID, social logins, MFA, and other CIAM/SSO related technologies.
Nice-to-haves:
• Experience implementing Akamai Identity Cloud, Auth0, Okta, or other SSO solutions for a large user base.
• Familiarity with data privacy laws and regulations, including GDPR and CCPA.
• Previous experience building technology in public media.
