Overview and Responsibilities

The VP or Sr. Director of External Production Finance Audit will lead oversight of the external cost verification audit team responsibilities for CBS Studios, CBS Network, Showtime, Paramount TV and support for other Paramount Global divisions. The person in this role works closely with Studio departments, Business Affairs, Production Finance, and external studios in related divisions. This position leads all aspects of audit including license fee, deficit, breakage, residuals, development, collective bargaining agreement, union guild audits, insurance claim audits. Additionally, the position will collaborate with internal audit for specific divisions across Paramount Global. This person reports to the SVP, Production Finance.
• Assign, supervise, negotiate and approve settlement of all requested audits of outside packagers' invoices funding for CBS Studios and Network, Paramount TV, Showtime and other Paramount Global Production Finance divisions
• Supervise audit on Production services agreements, both domestic and International Productions
• Recruit, hire, coordinate, lead and train audit teams of 5-7
• Supervise the calculation of escalations to be billed on eligible CBS shows and estimate upcoming series' escalations for network and studios planning
• Handle complex audit terms across Streaming distributors
• Lead and settle union guild audits across CBS Network and Studios
• Provide oversight and support of union labor analysis and modeling for negotiation settlement
• Review complex business license fee agreements, PSA International agreements, collaborating on financial terms closely with Legal, Business Affairs, Participations and Residuals
• Closely supervise Business Affairs, Production Finance, labor and Legal to resolve audit issues
• Supervise and settle insurance claim audits for specified divisions
• Work with production accounting teams and internal audit initial reviews across specific divisions

Basic Requirements:
• Significant/extensive Production Finance External Audit experience required, Majors Studio experience a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field is preferred
• Strong Management and Leadership abilities
• Exemplary skill level with Movie Magic Budgeting, production accounting systems (Smart Accounting/Classic Vista/PSL), Excel, and PowerPoint
• High level understanding of union labor agreements
• Extensive understanding of series production and license fee agreements on scripted and unscripted productions

Additional Requirements:

The person in this role should have comprehensive experience of Studio audit process, strong negotiating, strategic and analytical abilities.
