The MDG Team works closely with all levels of the global organization to educate the business on master data related issues, opportunities, and their impact on complex integrated business processes. Tracking and improving of master data quality across the company and ensuring the trustworthiness of enterprise master data for the defined business need. This group targets, evaluates and implements expansion to additional participating systems. Work extensively with management, brand groups, corporate business unit representatives and technology partners to set a strategic master data direction that will enable corporate strategy and operational success.
Management responsibilities include:
• Lead the S4 project related to MDG and Central Finance
• Build a team that will centrally manage data across the organization this will include merging legacy teams supporting Paramount Pictures and Legacy Media networks while also centralizing the management of data for legacy CBS
• Partner and influence senior leaders in order to define roles and service levels of data management for each element across Vendor, Customer, Finance and Title.
• Define controls and ensure compliance for the management of data
• Recruit, manage and train global resources to ensure a sustainable shared service capability to maintain acceptable service levels
• Direct and Indirect Reports will include members of MDG.
• Develop reporting and metrics to identify resource needs, drive efficiency and to analyze trends that may help direct various business decisions.
• Build and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for all Master Data to ensure best in class business continuity.
• Work directly with the Internal and External auditors on the testing of key internal controls.
• Design and implement strategy to achieve optimized level of process efficiency and effectiveness through standard global master data measures and metrics. Identify key defects and enhancements and work with support team through successful development and implementation or process improvement projects.
• Collaboratively develop strategic roadmaps with technology and business groups to plan the deployment of master data governance processes and technologies across domestic and international systems and lines of business.
• Maintain current knowledge of new technologies and practices used in the Master Data Governance process through exposure to industry practices, changing technology, and proactive networking.
Knowledge, Technical skills and responsibilities include:
• Knowledge of SAP Finance and Project Systems, MPM and HR Mini
• Assist MDG in identifying/resolving errors
• Participate in ERP rollout and/or new migrations as requested for Master Data Governance, Testing, Training and Change Management
• Perform root cause analysis aimed toward eliminating source of process problems from business environment
• Familiarity with MDM software tools, workflows and works with other systems
• Experience in Master Data Governance and Data Quality Management
• Experience working with customers in multiple time zones in a 24-hour environment
• Knowledge of entertainment media acquisition and production workflows
• Excellent problem solving abilities with experience in process and quality analysis
• Strong written and oral communication skills; comfortable presenting to an Executive Level audience and foster open dialogue across all levels of the organization
• Proven leadership abilities, including collaborative leadership style with experience in developing and retaining staff
• Ability to make decisions by seeking the appropriate quality and quantity of information, analyzing information to identify key issues, relationships, root causes and solutions, and considering the impact of decisions on the entire process
• Embracing change while maintaining focus, energy and drive
• Understanding of the system landscape and the cross-system data dependencies
Basic Qualifications
• 15+ years of equivalent experience
• Senior level experience in a related role
• Advanced skills in Excel. Must be comfortable working with large data sets and databases
Additional Qualifications
• Demonstrated data analyst skills
• Experience within multi-entity organization with international operations
• Experience with SAP is preferred
• Strong reconciliation/reporting and analysis skills in a complex environment
• Possess strong attention to detail but can summarize and communicate findings in an understandable way
• Media industry a plus
• Ability to manage tight timelines workload prioritization and management. May require meetings during morning or evening hours to meet with colleagues overseas, support busy periods, etc.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $203,200.00 - 254,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
