VP, Nickelodeon & Awesomeness Live Action

Nickelodeon & Awesomeness Live Action is in search of an experienced film executive to join the team as VP! This role is responsible for all aspects of film and series development, sourcing and developing content, and managing the acquisition and creative production process across Live Action for both Nickelodeon and Awesomeness.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage an active slate of development projects and actively support SVP Live Action Series & Film in maintaining a pipeline of compelling, engaging and producible content
• Solicit appropriate development projects and evaluate new submissions, providing detailed coverage and/or script notes as needed
• Oversee the pitch, acquisition and development process
• Daily collaboration with production management team on budget and scheduling
• Create and maintain an active industry database, developing strong relationships with the creative community – agents, writers, producers, talent, etc.
• Liaise between the creative department and all other network departments including Marketing, Sales, Publicity, Casting, Production, Digital, Scheduling and Business and Legal Affairs necessary to track and support the successful progression of development projects through to finishing
• Partner closely with the SVP Live Action Series & Film to ensure the vision of all content aligns with the company-wide goals - revenue and marketing objectives, as well as the mission and messaging of the brand
• Stay on the pulse of industry trends and maintain an active presence at relevant industry events in television and film
• Travel and oversee sets

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum 8-10 years of development experience in the film industry
• Minimum 4 years in creative executive capacity, specializing in film development
• Strong knowledge of film industry and digital streaming space
• Strong relationships with industry talent, agents, managers, writers and producers
• Experience in overseeing and/or supporting the pitch process for a production company and/or or studio
• Good eye for talent and hands on experience giving notes to creators on outlines and scripts

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $210,000.00 - 230,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
