Job Description
OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The VP Government Relations & Special Projects will report to the EVP, Global Public Policy & Government Relations. The VP will work closely with the EVP to promote the company's work with key constituencies in Washington, DC; plan and handle special events; support Paramount Global's Political Action Committee (PAC); and generally, assist the Government Relations office in effectively working with team members both on and off of Capitol Hill.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Assist the EVP in highlighting the company's social impact work to important collaborators.
- Work with the EVP to coordinate regular screenings of Paramount films and television series.
- Work with the EVP to develop and implement all aspects of special projects and events hosted by Paramount and its brands, or in conjunction with outside political and third-party groups.
- Assist the EVP with planning and general logistics associated with Congressional visits to Paramount's headquarters or divisional offices.
- Develop and keep up-to-date internal and external contact and distribution lists.
- Assist the EVP with the Paramount Global Political Action Committee, including distributing and tracking the annual PAC solicitation, tracking the PAC budget, serve as a liaison between compliance and payroll teams, and working with compliance on making contributions.
- Prepare lobbying disclosure filings.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10 years of related experience in the national non-profit and/or public affairs sector.
- Knowledge and familiarity with federal political fundraising and PACs.
- Demonstrated experience organizing and handling special events.
- Bachelor's degree.

- Superb communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Self-motivation and an attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $203,200.00 - 254,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
