Job Description

As a VAT Analyst, you will play a crucial role in managing various indirect tax matters, focusing primarily on VAT/GST compliance. Key Responsibilities:
• Review VAT/GST computations and ensure compliance for various countries.
• Guarantee the accurate application, recording, and timely payment of VAT/GST and other indirect taxes in line with local regulations.
• Collaborate directly with external tax consultants to facilitate periodic VAT/GST compliance and address related queries.
• Oversee periodic VAT/GST account reconciliations, identifying and taking action on outstanding items.
• Liaise with PTP, OTC, RTR departments to ensure correct invoice processing and journal entries.
• Participate in diverse indirect tax projects.
• Engage directly with stakeholders, including finance and business colleagues from local offices, colleagues from other GBS departments, professional service providers, and tax advisors, addressing various tax questions, statutory audit inquiries, and external tax audits.
• Propose process improvements and contribute to enhancing data quality and tax reporting.

Requirements:
• A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in VAT/GST compliance or a related tax role.
• Strong knowledge of VAT/GST regulations and tax calculations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
• Adaptability and a proactive approach to handling tax-related challenges.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
