Overview and Responsibilities

The global infrastructure and cloud operations team is responsible for delivering next generation solutions to better support the organizations' technology needs. To make this a reality, the team focuses on several initiatives including modernization, Machine learning/AI automation and cloud transformation.
• Highly collaborative, working across business groups, technology, finance, and vendor teams to establish a target vision aligned with business needs
• Responsible for the leadership and execution of strategy and analysis of business operations
• Develop financial and operational analysis of central initiatives and develop critical assumptions, identify key issues, define corrective actions, and drive to resolution
• Lead planning and business analyses across all key initiatives to enable more productive operations and effective executive decision-making
• Lead strategy, operational planning, resource planning, Key Performance Indicators, data analytics, forecasting and detailed modeling
• Provide exemplary problem-solving leadership related to shaping strategic focus and operational approach for emerging business initiatives
• Identify the most critical issues to resolve
• Break down issues into key components
• Design analytical & operational approaches to identify solutions
• Create and manage project plans to complete chosen approaches
• Drive innovation through analysis of current and future state business processes, concept development, analytics and planning to implement significant change through the streamlining or eliminating of business processes
• Develop market intelligence about key industry trends (technology, competitors, consumers, etc.) and their strategic implications
• Lead industry and market assessments to determine goals, objectives, and partners to drive sustainable growth in line with the direction of the company
• Work across all departments to remove barriers, set KPIs and hit goals necessary to complete critical initiatives resulting in organizational growth, improved efficiencies, expense management and profitability
• Set long term direction, strategy, and priorities with an ongoing focus on efficient and proper use of resources
• Partner with the Senior Leadership Team to define and develop key business insights, drive scalable growth strategies and help support the execution of these plans
• Implement appropriate OKRs/KPIs and metrics to help understand and drive success
• Monitor initiatives and identify opportunities for growth and improvement
• Perform in-depth analysis, build strategic models, and develop recommendations to make informed business decisions
• Identify and complete any process improvements, system enhancement, and general efficiencies
• Lead ad-hoc strategy projects to support decision making
• Near-term and long-range planning activities, overall business analysis and strategy for the organization, and aligning with organizational objectives
• Succinctly synthesize analyses into presentations that identify key trends, insights, and implications while aligning partners on action plans
• Build and complete operational and central initiatives by gathering and synthesizing pertinent data, leading analysis efforts, and present final recommendations that will drive short-term and long-term growth
• Partner closely with Finance and other VCBS Tech Business Units to assist with budgeting, forecasting, goal setting, and provide insights and rationale for decisions, supported by requisite financial and operational data.
• Build, evaluate and assess business models to identify strategies/opportunities for service delivery, offering improvements or elimination
• Analyze market and competitor trends, disruptors and identify emerging market opportunities, threats and share findings with senior leadership
• Translate strategy into specific business initiatives and develop tools to measure and evaluate success
• Convert projects from ideas to plans and create project teams across business units and corporate partners to develop and implement the product
• Manage multi-functional collaboration with other VCBS teams/organizations; work with project colleagues, and other internal teams, to deliver against project management plans
• Solve business challenges with an agile, solutions-focused approach.
• Coach and elevate analytics from operational analysts within each functional department
• Be a business partner to all department heads and successfully manage companywide multi-functional projects
• Have unfailing energy and passion for championing the development of new products, workflows and data-driven experimentation

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business or related scientific/technical subject area
• Good problem solving skills and familiarity with data analytics and/or technology fueled by machine learning/AI.
• At least 5 years experience in a hybrid on prem/cloud infrastructure environment in a client facing role with exemplary communication skills.

Additional Qualifications
• Familiarity with Objectives & Key Results (OKRs) framework
• Experience working in media companies
• Familiarity with audit or other regulatory technology applications
• Solid project management skills to keep multiple projects organized and deliver results in a timely manner
• Clear verbal and written communication skills
• Proactive approach and anticipation of potential challenges
• Strong writing skills including the ability to synthesize technical and business information into clear, concise messages both for detailed analytical reports and executive summaries
• Passionate about enabling teams to deliver more value and continually improve
• Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
• Experience developing business process modeling, process maps, visual flow representation accompanied by detailed process documentation
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal guidance and supervision
• Ability to work independently, work with a remote team, think creatively, manage your own time, and take initiative to help drive projects
• Previous experience in a consulting firm in a client facing role is required
• Project management experience: Waterfall, Agile, etc.

• Cloud certification: Azure, AWS, GCP
• Server architecture: Windows, Linux, VMWare
• Technical tools: JIRA, ServiceNow (PPM Module), Asana, Apptio, Ariba, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT)
