Paramount Animation through its affiliate Animated Productions Inc. currently has exciting opportunities for a Senior Previs Artist (Union) to join the animation team at our Hollywood, CA studio.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Setting the initial composition, staging and cameras
• Helping to creatively solve technical and aesthetic problems as theproduction progresses from storyboards to 3D
• Establishing a locale and define mood through sets
• Communicating and working with Story, Art and Editorial personnel
• Communicating with individuals involved throughout the animation processregarding technical specifications and creative beats.
• Adhering to tight production schedules
• Taking and implementing creative feedback from Previs Lead, VFXSupervisor and Director
• Day to day will report to Digital Production Manager for scheduling

Basic Qualifications
• Previous production experience or exceptional artistic skills/abilities in CGI/traditional artwork
• 5+ years of previs/layout experience
• Ability to communicate with all members of the production team on a
• technical and creative level in a collaborative environment
• A good understanding of physical lenses and camera work
• A demonstrated understanding of the principals of Staging and Composition
• Knowledge of Maya and Unix required
• Experience with Lighting preferred
• Experience at working on high-end systems preferred
• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience desired
• Strong Animation experience required
• Experience with Rough Modeling preferred
