Overview & Responsibilities:

The Senior Director, Production Operations must interface effectively with multiple departments and functions with the goal to improve the production processes for print & digital workflows and working relationships as well as provide an open, efficient production environment to support print & digital platforms. This ideal candidate will oversee both print & digital production operations, pre-press, digital asset management, servers, processes, and workflows from approved design to the final product!

You will develop innovative and creative digital solutions across various media including web, mobile, social and presentation tools. This hands-on position will work with various personnel and clients to determine the most strategic and creative way to bring projects to life, and then partner multi-functionally to implement them. This position is key in developing digital solutions as part of a larger plan. In addition, you will collaborate with area leads to provide big-picture thinking and ensure that digital plays an integral role in the department's overall strategy.

You will partner with creative teams with research and development of new tools and systems to support the needs of the department. For instance, you will translate design mockups into HTML/CSS/JavaScript, while exhibiting an awareness of current web design & UX standard methodologies, online resources, and tools. Furthermore, this role will lead and develop integrated technical solutions and services to meet business process initiatives and process improvements relating to digital asset and project management systems.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Work with project managers to allocate resources, estimate budgets, track project costs, and create production schedules for all digital projects
• Maintain staffing and vendor contacts in order to procure a variety of digital resources to expand the team, depending on the project
• Lead the build, design, and production of engaging presentations for departmental needs and clients using online systems for creating masters, incorporating information graphics, charts, videos, and various artwork in presentations that sometimes involves complex animation
• Partner with marketing and creative teams to support integrated promotions (HTML emails, banners, social sites) to ensure new products and features support and enhance cross-platform content strategies
• Create innovative and compelling user experiences (via personas, interviews, feature sets, flows, architecture, wireframes, prototypes) for Paramount partners with a solid experience in pitching projects to clients when required
• Maintain, upgrade and coordinate with Paramount Digital Tech Services and other IT partners to ensure department hardware and software is current, usable, and meet industry standard
• Act as the point person, tech support, and troubleshooter for departmental or client-based solutions (e.g. bugs, compatibility issues, performance, data pulls)
• Produce and manage print & digital retouching, color correction, file conversion and pre-media production projects and workflow
• Operate and integrate digital equipment at an advanced level using a wide range of application software on multiple platforms from beginning to end
• Manage image & job archiving, servers, ad & font library, and digital asset management systems
• Serve as a key production contact throughout all phases of content development, design, and deployment for digital products
• Research and implement the latest technology and operational workflows that will drive the processes forward with results of an overall reduction in production expenses
• Manage the print production of certain projects and participate in special assignments as needed
• Ensure projects are competitively priced and scheduled with external staffing agencies and vendors
• Partner with Account Services, Creative, Digital and Video teams to develop and support the best job processes associated with developing and producing projects internally and externally
• Be the direct liaison between the Project Management, Creative teams, and vendors to ensure timely and accurate production of clients' product
• Coordinate all stages of production and distribution of client's product while meeting specifications and project requirements
• Provide onboarding and technical support
• Support and develop workflows with the Account Services team associated with task management, trafficking, and online proofing to support business operations, including database set-up, file conversion, file management, and automated scripts

Basic Qualifications:
• 8-10 years of experience working in print & digital production operations, creative operations and/or creative services within the media/agency industries. Proven understanding of all application software related to the print & digital production process
• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Expert in Adobe Creative Suite, HTML, and Microsoft Office Suite with advanced level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint and Keynote
• Understanding of application development and standard scripts and codes
• Fundamental understanding of user experience as a prerequisite for creating customer-focused products
• Experience developing and programming B2B websites and building responsive based sites
• Experience integrating with social networking tools, websites, and APIs
• Wide understanding of new and emerging media
• Knowledge of the latest developments in responsive design, content management tools, digital asset management, and modern digital production standard methodologies
• Extensive experience working with print and digital vendors in competitive pricing

Additional Qualifications:
• Solid understanding of both the front and back end of WordPress such as supporting existing code/themes, troubleshooting, and navigating WordPress installs and user accounts in a large corporate environment with IT governance a plus
• Proficiency in Adobe Digital Publishing Suite (DPS), Web and App development a plus
• Ability to translate design comps into HTML emails, while exhibiting an awareness of current web design practices and issues of cross-browser compatibility a plus
• Experience working on customer-facing digital production initiatives for entertainment, content and/or entertainment technology brands is a plus
• Production management skills with emphasis on team-building and diversity
• Superior organizational and time management skills to balance several projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently and actively contribute to the team in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to clearly understand the needs of users
• Excellent teamwork and problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills
• Willingness to learn and teach
