Scope of Job: This is an exciting opportunity as the Streaming Marketing team is looking for a Sr. Director, Content Merchandising & UX to help our international marketing efforts across multiple streaming brands! In this multidimensional role, you will be working in a versatile ecosystem with exposure to international cross-functional teams, responsible for understanding Platform capabilities, content performance, and advocating for dynamic merchandising processes with the end goal of growing user consumption and extending customer lifespan throughout all markets. This role will also be responsible for all content merchandising efforts.
Responsibilities:
• Partner with Title Marketing & Content Strategy teams on upcoming content planning and merchandising the content across all markets and platforms
• Lead regional teams on merchandising based on research and data
• Working with the Personalization Director, Product Management, and AMLG teams on crafting new tools to deliver an enriched content experience
• Build an end-to-end merchandising playbook for local teams and define clear measurement across platform navigation avenues
• Set standards for marquees and carousels merchandising & align them with the Curation team
• Collaborate with our streaming partners & content operations team on merchandising requests, wireframes recommendations, carousel settings, etc.
• Define new merchandising and UX requests and determine their prioritization, testing, implementation, and change management in collaboration with Product & Content Operations teams
• Gain an understanding of audience viewing patterns, optimize current audience engagement strategies, and surface untapped content
• Work with and lead our partners such as Google, Amazon, Apple, and Roku on the ideal user experience on their platforms to drive engagement
• Be an advocate for excellent design practice and adopting new technology, champion customer-centric solutions
• Stay ahead of audience usage habits and most importantly stay engaged!
• Craft elevating strategies to capitalize on emerging consumer trends
• Be an internal champion on the Marketing team for user experience and design, not only aligning people around design thinking but also generating an informed and insightful wider organization
• Work with the Product team to enable good end-user experiences across onboarding, streaming experiences, content discovery, and recommendations
• Partner with the Senior Director, Product automation & Director, Personalization on features driving personalization and Engagement
• Partner with internal insights and analytics teams to analyze content performance & user behavior across different cohorts of users
• Adopt A/B testing philosophy and continue to iterate and optimize the User Experience
• Define important metrics and regularly review Engagement performance against strategic objectives
Qualifications:
• Experience in content design and user experience of at least 10-12+ years
• 10-12+ experience crafting well-thought-out and timely feature requests
• Ability to adapt to the change that is required when scaling a business
• Shown understanding of the streaming landscape and business models
• You have a strong point of view when it comes to design systems, tools, and processes as well as qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
• The ideal candidate should have experience with multi-platform products on mobile, web, OTT, content strategy and merchandising Adobe Analytics, and content performance
• Strong mentorship and leadership experience and being able to encourage and lead teams domestically and internationally
• Digital streaming domain and experience with multiple platforms (iOS, Android, Amazon, Roku, Apple) and domains (TV, Movies, Sports, News, Kids) are a plus
• BS/BA in a related field is preferred and a Master's degree is a plus
