Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy

Job Description

The Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy will report to the EVP, Corporate Strategy. As part of the Finance organization, the Corporate Strategy team supports Paramount's CEO, CFO, CSO, Senior Leadership Team and Board with insights and analysis that inform decisions on company strategy. This includes ad hoc strategy projects, analysis to inform content exploitation decisions, support for the board process, and coordination of activity in areas of emerging technology such as NFTs. The team includes a mix of strategy professionals and data scientists and works on high profile projects across Paramount's global businesses, playing a key role in driving the company's long term success in streaming and company-wide!
OVERVIEW AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete strategic projects identified by C-Level and senior leaders

Own projects end-to-end and take responsibility for delivering on project goals and objectives, including aligning key collaborators behind a solution
- Develop quantitative modeling approaches and work with team members to develop analytical models to inform key decisions – taking a hands-on approach
- Directly and indirectly manage more junior strategy team resources to deliver against project goals while mentoring them to develop in their careers
- Present project findings and options to peers up to and including C-level
- Maintain a strong understanding of the media and entertainment landscape, Paramount businesses, and competitive trends, and proactively identify strategic opportunities

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- 15+ years experience in corporate strategic planning, divisional strategy roles, strategy consulting or other pertinent professional services experience
- Bachelors Degree

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- MBA or similar advanced degree preferred
- Extensive Media/Entertainment industry experience required
- Streaming experience strongly preferred!
- Experience of key international markets preferred
- Highly analytical, able to synthesize data and develop insightful narratives
- Long term strategic problem solver, able to weigh multiple qualitative and quantitative inputs in developing strategic options
- Up to date with the latest developments in the market and the opportunities they present
- Ability to manage, and lead simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment
- Superlative written and verbal communication skills, able to convey information concisely and yet with nuance, to a variety of audiences
- Highly developed influencing skills and the ability to build constructive relationships at all levels in the organization
- Comfortable managing in a matrixed environment and dealing with change while keeping focused on long term goals
- Able to build, lead and encourage a successful team
- Actively seeks diverse views and fosters an inclusive and collaborative team environment
