This is a PERMANENT full-time role based in SYDNEY.
Is this the role for you?
Reporting to the VP of Finance the Finance Director lead the TV Media segment within Paramount ANZ for business financial reporting including Channel 10 (N10) and 10Play.
The successful candidate will bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and able to juggle multiple and frequently changing priorities. It is important to be customer service oriented and proficient with multiple communication mediums across time zones.
Strong interpersonal skills that develop and sustain relationships is crucial, as there are many stakeholders in this organization. The ability to positively influence will also be essential to succeed together with highly developed communication skills.
What will you be doing?
• Responsible for the TV Media business covering all costs including:
• Production, Acquisition, News, Sport & Digital content
• Marketing & Comms
• 10Play platform
• All other operating costs of the N10 & 10Play businesses (liaising with COE (Centre of Excellence) Comp/Stat/Tech leads and operations teams)
• Responsible for the oversight of the TV Media business month end, monthly Forecast, Budget, and Long-Range Plan in collaboration with FP&A team, business partners and finance colleagues aligned with the Company's fiscal calendar
• Manage the finance team through monthly and quarterly closes
• Review/approve deal memos and contract approvals |Review show proposals for content commissions and acquisitions | Review TV Media cashflow forecasts and improve accuracy
• Deputise for the VP Finance when not available
• Delivery of timely, accurate, and effective analysis & reporting of financial & operational performance of the TV Media business
• Provide project and commercial opportunity data modelling, business case support, due diligence
What are we looking for?
• Bachelor's degree in accounting/Finance or related field, CPA, CA (or equivalent)
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a broad range of Finance
• Strong business English language skills both oral and written
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Internet Explorer, MS SharePoint)
• Attention to detail will be an important key performance indicator of this role
Extra points for the following, but not necessarily required:
• Prior Big Four experience
• Experience in SAP, TM1
• Experience in the Media and Entertainment industry especially production finance
• Strong working knowledge of general accounting principles, concepts and processes (AGAAP, US GAAP/IFRS)
