Job Description

Overview and Responsibilities

This position is responsible for all accounting functions related to Content Licensing contracts.
• Analysis and reporting of Pay/Syndication/SVOD license agreements (interpret and implement license fee calculations and payment terms per contractual terms)
• Complete financial month end/quarter end close process, including revenue recognition, and AR reconciliations
• Analyze and explain Foreign Exchange variances on a monthly basis
• Analysis of actual performance versus Forecast/Plan
• Present Value analysis and reporting
• Perform various balance sheet reconciliations
• Reporting and analysis for inter/intra company and related party
• Review of new contracts and change orders within the PRISM system to ensure accuracy of financial information entered by Sales Admin
• Review of accounting transactions created by PRISM to ensure accuracy of financial data being reported each month
• Ongoing maintenance of Pay TV deals in PRISM – updating monthly subscribers reported by clients, investigating and resolving any issues that may arise
• Testing of expressions built for new Pay deals in PRISM, includes working with IT to identify the requirements, creating mock scenarios in test environments and analyzing output to ensure correct license fees and payments as required per contractual terms
• Ad-hoc/Miscellaneous reporting and analysis

Basic Requirements
• College degree in Finance/Accounting
• Minimum 3 years previous accounting experience required

Additional Requirements
• CPA preferred
• Proficiency with MS Office (specifically Excel and Word)
• Must have excellent written & verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in Entertainment Industry preferred
• Must possess strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload efficiently and meet strict deadlines
• Shown ability to perform detailed research and to provide solution driven results
• Ability to work in a team oriented environment

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $70,000.00 - 80,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
