Overview and Responsibilities

As the Senior Accountant, you will support the Program Accounting & Overhead functions and assist with several exciting operational accounting functions. You will have the opportunity to work alongside dedicated accounting professionals under a hybrid / agile working model in our Hollywood, LA location. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fantastic team and a leader in media and entertainment!
• Prepare monthly cost of sales for Primetime series and specials
• Process license fee, residual payments for series/specials
• Prepare journal entries for Studios and Entertainment overhead, as well as quarterly accruals and recurring journals
• Assist in the preparation of the quarterly production tax incentive schedule as well as other monthly/quarterly deliverables
• Prepare and confirm intercompany transfers across various divisions
• Assist in the preparation of the yearly tax Schedules for Entertainment
• Assist with quarterly internal /external audit requests
• Prepare and reconcile monthly clearing account report
• Support and work closely with Studios & Entertainment financial reporting teams and Production finance team
• Participate in the implementation of new ERP system
• Participate and assist in identifying process improvement opportunities and build efficiencies
• Assist in ad-hoc reports and special projects as requested

Basic Qualifications
• 3+ years of progressive Accounting/Finance experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting required

Additional Qualifications
• Media Entertainment / Studio experience highly preferred
• Working knowledge of ERP systems (i.e. SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment, and handle multiple responsibilities under tight time frames
• Ability to communicate, build strong relationships and collaborate across all levels of the organization
• Strong technical, analytical, problem-solving skills, strong attention to details, and ability to prioritize
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Have a positive attitude, be flexible and be willing to learn new things and train others as needed
• Possess high level of enthusiasm and curiosity to grow your career in a dynamic and growing company
• Ability to quickly learn new software applications, databases, and reporting tools

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $72,900.00 - 105,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
