RTR Senior Expert, Programming

Job Description

Join Paramount as an RTR Expert, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring accurate accounting and analysis of acquired programming transactions. Collaborating with Content FP&A teams globally, you'll guarantee precise content asset accounting. As an Expert, you'll independently manage intricate accounting processes and oversee the work of 1-2 team members.

Responsibilities:
• Capitalize content assets at the onset of their license window.
• Ensure accurate booking of amortization in SAP for the respective period.
• Execute journal entries to adjust our PnL or BS for quarter-end.
• Conduct asset subledger transactions in SAP, including impairment, write off, retirement, etc.
• Prepare comprehensive reports for Senior Stakeholders and NY Segment Reporting, capturing movements and closing balances for programming assets and liabilities.
• Complete and analyze balance sheet reconciliations for content GLs, taking action to clear reconciling items.
• Investigate and resolve differences in intercompany content balances promptly.
• Identify and implement efficiency and automation opportunities.
• Uphold relevant key controls in accordance with policies and SOX rules.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree required, with a focus in Accounting, Finance, or related area preferred.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in shared services, accounting, or finance roles.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite.
• Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in business English (oral and written).
• Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders from diverse teams, delivering progress updates and expectations concisely.
• Adaptability to evolving industry and organizational landscapes.
• Proven track record of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive approach to challenges and issue resolution, demonstrating initiative and timely task completion.
• SAP ERP experience is advantageous.
