Job Description

Overview and Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced leader to provide billing and accounting leadership for the dynamic Paramount Pictures On-Lot businesses. This position is responsible for the oversight of billing responsibilities and the management of the billing team for Paramount Pictures Studio Group. The responsibilities include establishing, implementing, and maintaining the billing process and provide reporting to identify and support the organization's fiscal controls, preparation and analysis of financial reports. Additional responsibilities include:
• Manages the processing of revenue billings for all departments within the Studio Group.
• Engages with finance and other functional partners around issues, trends, and changes in the operating model(s) and operational delivery of billing and revenue recognition.
• Enhances and/or develops the billing process, implements and enforces policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness.
• Conceptualizes innovative solutions for complex business problems and drive the execution of these solutions. Identifies and executes opportunities to re-engineer and improve billing processes.
• Oversees contract and deal memo analysis to ensure accurate billing
• Works with Corporate Accounting team to monitor and report on receivable balances.
• Ensures the accuracy of all monthly financial transactions reported from subsystems managed.
• Responds to inquiries from other company-wide managers regarding billing results and special reporting requests.
• Collaborates with the other finance department managers to support overall department goals and objectives.
• Supports internal and external auditors and own coordination of action plans where audit procedures identify areas of potential risk or control weakness
• Confirms through training and user guidance, all billing policy and procedures are understood and met.

Basic Qualifications
• 6+ years of professional experience in accounting operations (ideally billing operations).
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Software Suite (including Excel, Access and Word) a must. Xytech, RTPro, and SAP systems knowledge is helpful.
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration or closely related field.
• Ability to ''roll up your sleeves'' and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and effectively manage multiple competing priorities.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to define a clear vision, motivate others in a positive way to achieve desired results, and develop a successful team.
• Strong collaboration and relationship building skills. Experience in navigating a matrixed and dispersed organization and successfully influencing key internal and external partners.
• Ability to communicate at all levels in the organization, with strong oral and written skills and a willingness to share information and work with diverse teams.
