Overview and Responsibilities

We are looking for a Data Science Analyst to support Paramount's Global Home Entertainment division! Are you ready to be responsible for supporting data infrastructure, reporting tools and statistical analysis of our business?

This position requires cross functional interaction with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Operations, someone with strong analytical and problem solving skills, a passion for entertainment products, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited To:
• Manage ongoing data cleansing and harmonization of metadata for internal databases
• Serve as a functional specialist on our data systems & reporting tools
• Improve the division's Data Availability and Quality by actively building, testing, and documenting our internal & external data sets
• Identify and/or build tools to automate data collection or improve reporting capabilities
• Cultivate collaborative relationships with teams throughout the organization
• Other ad-hoc analysis as required

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree (preferably in Computer Science, Analytics, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field) or equivalent work experience
• 2+ years of previous experience
• Experience with DBT, Snowflake/Redshift, Apache Spark
• Experience with predictive/statistical modeling
• Visualization software (Tableau, Google Data Studio)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint
• Mastery of SQL (window functions, CTES) with DBT or similar

Additional Qualifications
• Previous experience at an entertainment studio and/or streaming platform a plus
• Enthusiasm and aptitude for working in a fast-paced, collaborative corporate environment but with a start up mentality: highly self-directed, results-oriented and able to work at both strategic and tactical levels
• A keen eye for data quality, meticulous attention to detail and a high level of intellectual curiosity
• Ability to translate business questions into impactful experiments or analysis using the appropriate statistical tools
• Experience with statistical analysis techniques & data analysis
• Experience wrangling & processing data in python (pandas/pyspark, etc.)
