Job Description
Overview and Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the VP of TV Licensing Accounting, the Manager for TV Accounting will be responsible for all accounting functions related to all TV distribution contracts in PRISM. This is a wonderful opportunity to join a leading media and entertainment company!
• Oversee the operations of the PRISM system
• Review of new TV contracts and change orders within the PRISM system to ensure accuracy of financial information entered by Sales Admin. Review of accounting transactions created by PRISM to ensure accuracy of financial data being reported each month.
• Complete financial month end/quarter end close process, including revenue recognition, cash application, accounts receivable and deferred revenue reconciliations.
• Review of Management Report analysis of actual performance versus Forecast/Plan.
• Responsible for the analyses and reconciliation of all PRISM accounts. Also responsible for reconciling SAP (General Ledger) to PRISM for all accounts.
• Review of present value analysis/calculation for all PRISM deals
• Lead all quarterly audit deliverables with PWC and/or Viacom IA, including but not limited to, providing requested support, responding timely and appropriately to all audit questions, leading conference calls with audit team and overseeing audit to completion. Investigating and resolving audit issues.
• Oversee accuracy and timeliness of all quarterly deliverables, including supplemental schedules and senior management balance sheet review/presentation.
• Coordinate and handle all schedules related to annual walkthrough of SOX Controls for PWC and Viacom.
• Coordinate with IT and Sales Admin to analyze, test and implement system upgrades to PRISM to accommodate any changes in accounting policy and/or processes.
• Run and resolve PRISM system issues with IT.
• Responsible for reviewing and analyzing corporate requests and deliverables.
• Ad-hoc/Miscellaneous reporting and analysis

Basic qualifications:
• College degree in Finance/Accounting
• Proficiency with MS Office (specifically Excel and Word)

• Excellent written & oral communication and inter-personal skills
• You can thrive in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Experience in Entertainment Industry preferred
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload efficiently and meet strict deadlines.
• Proven ability to perform detailed research and to provide solution driven results
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
